Canoeing is one of the most important sports activities in Asturias thanks to the international descent of the Sella. But not only can you go down the Sella, we offer you different locations in Asturias so you can enjoy descending a river by canoe.

Descent of the Sella. Internationally known for the famous sporting event held on the first Sunday of August and for the "Canoe Festival" descending the Sella is a fun experience between Arriondas and Ribadesella, at the foot of Picos de Europa, enjoying the riverside vegetation and splendid panoramic views that do not leave you indifferent. The routes range from 4 to 15 kms, stopping at the riverside beaches.

Descent of the Deva. The easternmost of the Asturian rivers descends to Poncebos and continues to Arenas de Cabrales, an area of famous cheeses, enters the Ría de Tina Mayor, to finish, its wide course, in the Cantabrian Sea. Its main tributary is the famous Cares River. The objective is to descend them by canoe along the 8 kms that connect Buelles and Unquera.

Valdemurio Reservoir and Trubia River.  In the Agüeras (Quiros) you can enjoy a canoe ride in an impressive natural environment. It is located within a recreational area. This activity may include the descent of a stretch of the Trubia River.
