DAY 1
Hiking in the Lakes of Covadonga. We will understand the birth of rivers in a privileged environment, as well as the formation of lakes.
We will see the outcrops of water in living rock and we will take the opportunity to visit the basilica of Covadonga.
Almost at nightime we will enter a cave. What is karst landscape? How has this formed the water?
DAY 2
Canyoning. We will descend a canyon into the water having fun and playing between water jets, slides and rappelling with ropes. The explanation of how ravines are created and water flows here becomes an excuse for our young people to have a great time and without realizing it to internalize the new knowledge of how water shapes the crust.
Also the rivering version, for minors, much simpler, without the need for ropes or harnesses, and just as fun. Rivering is recommended until the age of 14.
In the afternoon we will have our workshop of mammal footprints, bird feathers and signs. In a practical way we will see what signs the animals leave that allow us to know if they are there or not. It can be replaced by a workshop for creating bird nest boxes.
DAY 3
Descent of the Sella River by canoe. A day that combines the sporting and playful aspect with environmental learning. On the tour we will stop to look for traces of mammals learned the day before, in addition of course to having fun with different canoe games, beyond just paddling.
DAY 4
Beach day! We will see dinosaur footprints imprinted on the coast, we will understand the movement of the dunes, we will see how the cliffs and beaches are formed and, of course, we will climb! After lunch we will spend all afternoon trying to overcome our limitations by climbing in an activity that teaches us to look for alternatives to move forward.
A sports, multi-adventure and environmental program full of knowledge that we will see and learn directly in the environment in which they occur, where we can apply everything learned in class during the course.
